Blank printable star of the week all-about-me template with self-portrait box, name, favourite things, and proud moment sections for K–5 students

Star of the Week Template

Blank all-about-me celebration sheet.

The Star of the Week Template is a blank all-about-me celebration sheet for kindergarten through grade 5 students. The printable provides clearly labelled spaces for a self-portrait, the student's name, favourite things, personal facts, and a short 'I am proud of' prompt—everything needed to spotlight one child per week without the teacher preparing anything custom. The template is designed to be completed at home with a parent on the weekend before the student's featured week, then displayed on a dedicated classroom board. Because every section is blank, each student's sheet looks genuinely individual rather than formulaic. Teachers value it for building classroom community, boosting confidence in quieter students, and giving families an easy, structured way to be involved in school life.

Frequently asked questions

What sections should the template include?

Core sections include: student name, self-portrait box, age, favourite colour/food/book/animal, something I am good at, and one thing I am proud of. Keep it to one A4 page so it is easy to display.

How do I handle students who are shy about being the centre of attention?

Make the Monday share optional—students can simply post the sheet without speaking. Reassure shy students beforehand and let them decide how much they want to say.

Can the template be adapted for English-language learners?

Yes. Allow ELL students to complete sections in their home language alongside English, or use drawings instead of words. The visual self-portrait section is especially inclusive.

Is a digital version possible for remote classrooms?

Yes. Share the PDF with families to fill in using a PDF editor or print-and-photograph method, then display the image on a virtual classroom board or in a shared slide deck.
