- Separate short-term weather observations from long-term climate patterns. Use graphs or tables with place and time labels so students can identify what the evidence actually supports.
- Ask learners to explain patterns using interactions among sunlight, air, water and land. Treat a single unusual event as data to investigate, not proof that a climate trend has changed.
