About this simulation

Geometrical optics with the original ray-tracing model. Drag optical elements or adjust the selected element. Focal lengths use scene coordinates; brightness and detector power are relative source units. Wave interference, diffraction-limited resolution and real eye physiology are not simulated.

What students can explore

  • Inspect the ray paths and image formation of this specific optical arrangement.

Learning objectives

  1. 1Inspect the ray paths and image formation of this specific optical arrangement.
