About this simulation

Gravity pulls every object downward with a force called its weight (W = m·g). On Earth, every kilogram weighs about 9.8 newtons. In free fall an object accelerates under gravity and drops farther each second: d = ½gt². Students can change mass and gravity and compare what happens. Use it for physics inquiry with Grades 3–4, Middle School, and High School on a projector or student device.
