About this simulation
Earth's 23.4° axial tilt changes the noon sun's height and the length of the day through the year. Set the tilt to zero and every day, everywhere, is twelve hours long — the tilt makes the seasons, not the distance to the Sun. Students can change model and day of year and compare what happens. Use it for earth science inquiry with Grades 4–5, Middle School, and High School on a projector or student device.
