About this simulation
Blood follows two connected loops: pulmonary circulation between the heart and lungs, and systemic circulation between the heart and the rest of the body. Heart rate and stroke volume together determine cardiac output. Students can change heart rate and activity level and compare what happens. Use it for biology inquiry with Grades 4–5, Middle School, and High School on a projector or student device.
