Mini Golf Putt

អំពីការពិសោធន៍និម្មិតនេះ

This simulation links friction and energy to a game of putting. Pulling back from the ball sets power and direction, and a guide line previews the putt. The ball slows by constant rolling friction, needs enough energy to climb the hill, bounces off bumpers and is pushed by windmill blades. Readouts show strokes, ball speed, putt power, rolling distance and best hole. Sliders change friction and windmill speed. Teachers can use it to show that doubling speed quadruples stopping distance.

អ្វីដែលសិស្សអាចស្វែងរកបាន

  • Drag back from the ball and watch the Putt power and Rolling distance readouts before you release.
  • Putt at half power and then full power to compare how far the ball rolls.
  • Raise Friction mu to 0.6 and see how the rolling distance shrinks.
  • Slow the Windmill speed to zero and then to 3, and time your putt through the blades.
  • Switch between the Top and Low views, then try to beat par of 3 strokes.

គោលបំណងសិក្សា

  1. 1Explain how friction brings a rolling ball to rest.
  2. 2Predict how stopping distance changes when speed doubles.
  3. 3Describe the energy needed to roll a ball up a hill.
  4. 4Adjust aim and power using feedback from readouts.

សំណួរដែលគ្រូតែងសួរ

Is the Mini Golf Putt simulation free to use?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, and runs in any modern browser, including whiteboards, tablets and phones.

How far does a putt roll?

Stopping distance is v squared divided by 2 mu g, so doubling the speed makes the ball roll four times as far. A larger friction value shortens the roll.

How do I hit the ball?

Drag from the ball in the opposite direction of where you want to go, like pulling a slingshot, then release. A longer pull means more power.

Why does the ball sometimes stop before the top of the hill?

To get over the hill the ball needs kinetic energy of at least m g h, the energy gained by rising to that height. With less than that, gravity pulls it back.
